Dining Room Inspiration

I have had the good fortune of watching over my family's dining room set for about 10 years and recently my parents asked if I'd be willing to unherit it. It is slightly hard to part with but I'm excited it is staying in the family. Plus - I get to go for a more Matte White dining room - yay! I am looking for something vintage for a few reasons - 1. I love things with a little history 2. Have you seen how much they want for a nice new dining room chair?! 3. Antiques don't screw up the trade deficit :p

Looking for inspiration - checked Country Living first - one of my favorite sources for decorating ideas for my quirky old house. They had this clever room - super smart since Duncan Phyfe inspired tables are easy to find, good quality and quite affordable (mahogany yo). I also like the generous use of white, while keeping the table dark. I've learned that painted white tabletops don't always hold up the best against regular use, unless maybe the manufacturer sprayed the heck out of them with laquer.
