Celebrating Fall

Norman Rockwell has such a magic way of depicting Americana. I just learned about a new book that explains how he took photos of friends and neighbors and replicated them on canvas to capture those special moments. It is very cool to be able to see the photos and paintings side by side and get some insight about how he was able to capture such detail. I love this family gathered around the table for a gorgeous feast. I want that tureen!

Modern tables need be no less lovely. Centerpiece by BHG.

Sunset has this lovely, simple place setting with herbs.
Happy Fall,

Amanda

  1. I like that Norman Rockwell is a hopeful reminder that the comforts of home are never as far away as we think. Even if we never attain that ideal he's crafted, it's still something worth striving for, creating that family experience.
